Cases against Porsche filed by walker’s father and daughter
Considering that Paul Walker, an American actor and star of the hit television show Fast and Furious, died in an automobile accident in Los Angeles, California in November 2013, it’s no wonder that his daughter, Meadow, filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Porsche. Meadow claims that Porsche cut corners on safety when building the Carrera GT, the street legal version of the Porsche 911. She claims that her father would have survived if Porsche had installed more advanced safety features into the car.

Cause of death
Earlier this month the Los Angeles County Coroner released the cause of death of Paul Walker. The autopsy revealed that the actor died from burns. He also sustained injuries throughout his body.
Walker was on his way to a charity event to help victims of Typhoon Haiyan in the Philippines. His car hit a tree and another tree, veering off the road. The Porsche Carrera GT exploded into flames. The car then slammed into a concrete lamp post and a sidewalk.
The accident happened on November 30, 2013, in Santa Clarita, CA. The car was travelling at over 100 miles per hour in a 45-mile-per-hour zone. The driver, Roger Rodas, was 38 years old. He suffered from multiple traumatic injuries, including a fractured skull, a fractured left jawbone, and a broken collarbone. Rodas had been a race car driver for many years.

The Los Angeles County coroner’s office released a 15-page report in January that answers some of the questions raised by the crash. The report said both men died from traumatic and thermal injuries, and that both men were in defensive positions at the time of the crash.
The coroner’s report initially estimated that the car was going around 100 miles per hour, but that speed was later reduced to 80 to 93 miles per hour. After the crash, the car exploded into flames. A light post and tree on the driver’s side of the car hit the car, causing it to spin around.
