HotSchedules offers a variety of services and features that make scheduling your team easy. This includes access to employee profiles, schedules and printing of welcome sheets.
With the latest release, you can now edit and create shifts directly from your mobile apps. These new features are a great help for managers who need to do edits on the go.
Scheduling
HotSchedules provides mobile and web-based scheduling, forecasting, and paperless hiring solutions. It is used by restaurants and retail businesses to manage work schedules, communication, shift swaps, emergency notifications, and more.
Hotschedules also enables restaurant owners and managers to create a culture of education, training and development. It allows customers to build customizable eLearning academies via the Schoox web and iOS/Android app with a single sign-on.
The platform helps companies track employee skills and competencies with an easy-to-use training dashboard. Its features include a powerful reporting tool, a customizable curriculum and a wide array of third-party content to suit every business’ needs.
In addition, the system includes PayControl for integrated clients, a web-based clock-in solution that reduces buddy-punching and enforces tip declarations. It also enables companies to aggregate multi-store payroll data and export formatted payroll files. This helps restaurant operators comply with labor laws, reduce buddy-punching, and avoid penalties for incorrectly calculated hours.
Training
For restaurant operators, Schoox is an easy and affordable way to build a branded training academy that offers a wide range of online courses. It supports files, videos and web content, allows you to assign training criteria by job or store location, tracks employee progress with a reporting dashboard and includes professional third-party training content you can drag and drop.
Designed by Red Book Connect, the social eLearning training platform, Schoox is available after a client signs onto HotSchedules via a single sign-on, said Larry Abramson, CEO of Red Book Connect.
Customers can build a customizable eLearning academy, add new or existing content, upload files and video content, manage certifications and track employee progress with the mobile app, said Abramson. The eLearning tools also help drive succession and compliance through self-learning and a training e-portfolio that retains course certification no matter where employees go in the future, he explained.
Schoox also offers a gamified experience to engage employees with interactive training modules that spark their interest, improve communication and enhance employee development. The social eLearning platform also allows for easy and efficient collaboration with managers, he added.
Reporting
When you need to see if an employee is logging in for work, you can use the Login Report in HotSchedules. This report shows all login data over a specific date range.
This report also displays the number of times a user has logged in for work during that time period. You can view this information for an entire schedule or individual employees.
You can easily access this report from your HotSchedules dashboard. Just select the Staff & Store section, adjust the date range and then click Generate Report.
To get started, you’ll need your username and password from your manager. They’ll provide you with a Welcome Sheet with this information.
Once you’ve created a team member in Schoox, it will start sending information to HotSchedules. This includes their name, contact information, and any relevant certifications.
Communication
The Schoox HotSchedules login allows users to communicate easily with their team. They can request and approve time off, swap shifts and track their schedules.
They can also send messages to their team using the messaging tab. Managers can use this feature to send messages to their employees about important dates, events or changes.
To set up the account, they need to create a username and password. They can do this by following the steps outlined in the Welcome Sheet.
If you lose your username or password, you can reset it. For this to work, you need to have a verified email address on your account.
HotSchedules is a popular employee scheduling application that helps restaurants and hospitality businesses streamline their operations. Its efficient scheduling management and strong staff communication features are lauded by its users. However, it is criticized for a clunky interface and slow data processing.
