Lilyhammer season one is set in a small Norwegian town, where crime is almost nonexistent. It stars Steven Van Zandt as mob boss Frank Tagliano. After being forced to testify against his associates, Tagliano receives a new identity and is given permission to relocate to Lillehammer, Norway. He fell in love with the town during the 1994 Winter Olympics and wants to experience the laid back lifestyle. Despite the small-town feel, Lillehammer does have its fair share of colourful characters.
Sigrid Haugli
Sigrid Haugli plays a midwife in Lilyhammer, a Norwegian television series. She is pregnant with Frank Tagliano’s children, but she doesn’t like the male midwife who works in her hospital. She fears she will be abused during her childbirth, so she asks her manager to switch midwives. A new midwife, though, ends up working in Lillehammer, which makes her nervous.
During the first season, Sigrid meets a different family that shares a midwife with her. This family is domestic, and Sigrid finds this to be strange. While arguing with Per, he bursts into tears. As a result, Sigrid comforts her, but she doesn’t like her new relationship. Later, she is invited to one of Frank’s Poker nights, but Frank turns her down. Not only does she find herself at odds with the gang, but she also isn’t very good at Poker.

Mikael Aksnes-Pehrson
Netflix has made Norwegian TV-crime series “Lilyhammer” available online for streaming. This drama is about a mafia underboss from New York who moves to Lillehammer, Norway, to pursue his criminal enterprise. The Norwegian-produced show has 3 seasons and 24 episodes. You can view the entire first season online or purchase the DVD in blueray format. It is available in Norwegian.
The series is a satirical take on Norwegian society. The characters are complex and compelling. Each episode follows a different family and their lives. The narrator tries to make sense of his characters and the situations they face. It is a well-written show and the acting is top-notch.
Fridtjov Saheim
Netflix’s Lilyhammer is a period drama set in a remote part of Norway. It has a sophisticated worldview, similar to the novels by Henning Mankell. It also features long winters and a strong sense of perspective. Its debut season received a strong response, with nearly half of the 12-plus demographic tuning in. Netflix says the second season will feature more English dialogue.
In Lilyhammer, Fridtjov Saheim plays Jan Johansen, a government employee who is responsible for helping immigrants adjust to life in Lilyhammer. He is manipulative and seldom takes responsibility for his actions. He makes people feel bad for him, especially when he loses his job. He worked with Frank for most of the season and is well-known for his high-pitched laughter.
Anne Krigsvoll
The premise of Lilyhammer is familiar but it has new depths. In the show, a former New York gangster is called to Norway to testify against his Mafia boss. The show also stars many actors from Norway, including Anne Krigsvoll as Laila Hovland. The cast also includes Fridtjov Saheim as Jan Johansen, a bumbling social worker assigned to help Frank settle down in Norway.
The characters in Lilyhammer are all fascinating. The characters are incredibly realistic, and the actors have great chemistry together. The actors switch roles regularly, and their performances have been noted. Marie Saastad Ottesen plays a possible single mother, Trond Fausa Aurvaag is a local slacker, and Anne Krigsvoll plays Laila Hovland, a lensman.
Steven Van Zandt
In this crime drama, Steven Van Zandt plays mob boss Frank Tagliano. He testifies against his former associates and is given a new identity. He also requests to move to Lillehammer, Norway, after falling in love with the town during the Winter Olympics. Tagliano soon finds himself trying to adjust to a new life in the city, which has a small crime rate but an incredibly colorful population.
The show was produced in Norway and co-produced with the Norwegian public broadcaster NRK1. The comedy writers developed the character for Van Zandt after seeing him in his role as Silvio Dante in The Sopranos.
