The Ocegueda is currently being held at the Lakeside Police Department. He was arrested after a brief standoff with authorities, who were attempting to serve an arrest warrant. He was charged with two counts of burglary, one count of theft, and one count of assault. A dog named Charlie was allegedly stabbed in the process, but was not injured.
The JCSO’s news release also mentions the arrest of Juan Ocegueda on Tuesday, which he reportedly had a role in. Ocegueda was arrested just a block away from the scene of the crime. His arrest is being investigated as part of a larger investigation into the crime. The police are conducting a background investigation into his past, including previous arrests. The Ocegueda was also found to be a likely suspect in a crime spree that began in January.
