Skydiver
Skydiving is a fun and exhilarating activity. However, it also comes with some risks. There have been at least four deaths involving skydivers this summer in Canada, with a fifth death reportedly being caused by a parachute that did not deploy properly during a jump.
The United States Parachute Association estimates that there are about 0.39 fatalities per 100,000 jumps. But the risk can be reduced by using an automatic parachute deployment device that essentially works like a dead man’s switch.
