Kylian Mbappe is the talk of the world right now, ripping apart defenses as France’s star player in Qatar 2022. But he’s not the only one from his family making headlines.

The French teen has been impressing fans at the club’s youth academy, earning several call-ups to France’s under-19 side this season. He made his senior debut last week, coming off the bench to replace Fabian Ruiz in a friendly against Paris FC.
Mbappe was born in Bondy, France, to Cameroonian father Wilfried Mbappe and Algerian mother Fayza Lamari. He has an older brother, Jires Kembo Ekoko, who was adopted by his family when he was young. He is a member of the Christian faith.

Ethan is a PSG player
While Kylian Mbappe is in Qatar preparing for his second World Cup final, his younger brother Ethan Mbappe made his debut for Paris Saint-Germain on Friday in a mid-season friendly against Paris FC. The 16-year-old is a left-footed central midfielder who has already impressed with his technical ability. He’s a good set piece taker and is developing game by game.
He signed a three-year youth contract with PSG in June 2021, having previously trained at local club AS Bondy. He is a half-brother to French international Jires Kembo Ekoko and his parents are Wilfried Mbappe and Fayza Lamari.
Ethan began his footballing career at eight, training with Bondy’s youth team. He then moved to PSG in 2017 for a transfer fee that was believed to be PS130 million. He has since made his way up the ranks of the PSG academy and has even been called up to France’s Under-16 squad.

Kylian Mbappe is one of the world’s most talented footballers at the moment. But his younger brother Ethan is also a promising prospect.
He is a left-footed midfielder who plays in the attacking half of the pitch. He’s often described as a fluent playmaker who is well-organised and comfortable with the ball.
Having joined PSG in 2017 after two years with local side AS Bondy, he progressed through the club’s academy set-up before being called up to the U19s this summer.
